5:50-6:00	In week three you will set up your Edmodo online classroom website as your assignment.  You will be using your classroom website in the weeks ahead.  You will be posting project-based student activities, a flipped classroom video providing direct instruction for your lesson, and an online student quiz.  Sign up for your account and create a group.  Explore the tutorials available in Docs and Resources. 6:00-6:10	Create your own Edmodo teacher account now.   Use Brandman University as your school.  You will need to share your group with your instructor by inviting me to join your group.   Optional: You may also wish to invite the members of your collaborative group so they can give you feedback.   You will be posting curriculum materials (resources, links, videos) for your individual 21st century project-based lesson, as well as posting your flipped video and online quiz.   Explore these resources and begin building your classroom website in class.
6:10-6:20	Set up an Edmundo Group Now. You will need to create a group - or a "mockup" class for your project-based lesson activities and video.  Invite your instructor to that group.  Include your instructor to your group as a student.  You will need to provide your instructor with the temporary 6-digit group code. 6:25-6:45	Buck Institute: Problem-Based Learning for 21st Century Skills What is PBL? (4:00) You will be working in your collaborative group wiki as you plan your multidisciplinary integrated curriculum unit.  This week you will also begin the process of planning an individual project-based lesson plan in your subject matter content area.   You will be designing an individual lesson plan as a part of your collaborative group multidisciplinary integrated thematic unit plan.   Your multidisciplinary integrated group unit plan will be due in week 5 and your individual project-based lesson plan will be due in week 6.   Plan on incorporating the 4 Cs under the Learning and Innovation 21st Century Skills in your student project. 6:45-7:00	Your signature assignment will be based on the BIE project based lesson plan template.  Decide on a project idea related to your group theme: summary of the issue, challenge, investigation, scenario, or problem.   Write a "driving question" and determine which common core state standard and other content standards you will meet with this lesson.   You will be posting your student project activities on your classroom website.   Provide the major student product or presentation learning goals and instructions.   You will be designing student learning activities and provide web links and/or resources for this lesson on your classroom website.  You will also prepare a video for your flipped classroom presentation to provide direct instruction on the subject matter content of your lesson.   Finally, you will create a formative assessment online quiz to help students improve their understanding of the curriculum content in your lesson. 7:00-7:45	Link to Wiki: Collaborate on your Group Wiki Right Now In Class-(today here and now-45 minutes) Go to the group wiki folders (see red button menu: Group Wikis).  Your group wiki collaboration activities during weeks 2-4 are worth 12 points.  I will grade your group participation and collaboration as well as your individual contribution to the planning process at the end of week 4.  Your final group multidisciplinary integrated unit will be due at the end of week 5. Weeks 2-3 Group Participation and Collaboration Participate at least 3 times during the week and contributed to the completion of at least 4 of the following sections of the multidisciplinary integrated curriculum plan by the end of   week 3: ·       Organize and formalize group makeup and subject matter content independently. ·       Add name and subject matter to group members list in the brainstorming wiki ·       Brainstorm with peers and determined theme/topic for the multidisciplinary integrated curriculum unit throughout the week (at least 4 times). ·       Help determine potential community partner from business, industry, post-secondary institution, or community organization. ·       Help determined essential question to drive the learning unit of study. ·       Help created a project description for the multidisciplinary integrated curriculum unit plan. Week 3 Individual Content Contribution 1.    Complete content specific 21st century subject matter project-based lesson summary for content-specific subject discipline. 2.    Describe subject specific project activities and products and provide a suggested timeline. 3.    Determine which CCSS and academic standards will be met with the individual 21st century skills project-based lesson in own discipline. 4.    Summarize student performance expectations in specific subject matter content.
7:45-8:15	What is Due by Wednesday 5/25/16 midnight? 1) Readings: Textbook Chapters 4, 7, & 8 Online Readings: Educator's Guide to the 4 Cs and Project Based Learning (PBL) 2)  Journal: Textbook Reading Reflections 3) Group Wiki: Collaboration and Planning for Integrated Learning Unit (I gave you time to complete this in class but some groups may need more time outside of class to complete fully) 4) Individual Wiki Contribution: Complete content specific 21st century subject matter project-based lesson summary for content-specific subject discipline. Describe subject specific project activities and products and provide a suggested timeline. Determine which CCSS and academic standards will be met with the individual 21st century skills project-based lesson in own discipline. Summarize student performance expectations in specific subject matter content. 5) Assignment: Create Edmodo Classroom Website (I gave you time to complete this in class but some students may need extra time to complete outside of class) 6) Discussion: 21st Century 4 Cs and PBL Project Search Parts 1 and 2 First Post is due on Sunday night by midnight and the Response Post is due on Wednesday by midnight.
